Blooms of Tradition: Celebrating Polish Heritage and Women

A Singular Partnership Honoring Polish Heritage, Women’s Legacy, and Living Tradition

Orchard Lake, Michigan (2/5/26) – The Polish Institute of Culture & Research at Orchard Lake is proud to announce the Royal Eagle Foundation as the Exclusive Presenting Sponsor and Cultural Patron of Blooms of Tradition, a landmark fashion and cultural celebration  in recognition of International Women’s Day.  This event honoring Polish heritage and the enduring role of women takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Galeria on the campus of the Orchard Lake Schools.

As Exclusive Presenting Sponsor, the Royal Eagle Foundation holds the Institute’s highest and most distinguished designation of partnership. As Cultural Patron, the Foundation assumes a role rooted in stewardship, legacy, and responsibility for sustaining cultural life. This dual distinction is reserved for a singular institution whose leadership, values, and commitment align profoundly with the mission of the Polish Institute.

Blooms of Tradition is a living narrative of Polish culture, brought to life through the contemporary designs of Recultured Designs, founded by designer Olenka Lisiecki. Drawing inspiration from regional folk dress, traditional embroidery, and symbolic motifs, Lisiecki’s work honors the women who carried culture through generations, reinterpreting tradition with elegance, intention, and a modern voice. Each design reflects continuity rather than nostalgia, tradition not as artifact, but as something living and expressive.

Founded in Michigan and deeply rooted in service to Polonia, the Royal Eagle Foundation has a distinguished history of philanthropic leadership and cultural stewardship. Established in 2008 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Foundation advances the presence and vitality of Polish heritage through grants, sponsorships, and support for cultural and educational initiatives that strengthen community life locally, nationally, and internationally.

“This partnership is deeply meaningful,” said Ania Bieciuk, Associate Director for Polonia Affairs at the Polish Institute of Culture & Research at Orchard Lake. “Blooms of Tradition honors women as bearers of culture, memory, and strength. To have the Royal Eagle Foundation serve as both our Exclusive Presenting Sponsor and Cultural Patron is a powerful affirmation of the importance of this work. It reflects shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to ensuring that Polish culture continues to flourish across generations.”

The Royal Eagle Foundation echoed this sentiment, emphasizing its pride in supporting the Institute’s mission.

“We are honored to serve as Cultural Patron and Exclusive Presenting Sponsor of Blooms of Tradition,” said Henry Tyszka, President of the Royal Eagle Foundation. “The Polish Institute of Culture & Research exemplifies excellence in preserving and presenting our shared heritage. Supporting this event is both a pleasure and a meaningful way to recognize the value of the Institute’s work and its lasting impact on our community.”

Hosted in the elegant setting of the Institute’s Galeria, Blooms of Tradition weaves together fashion, history, artistry, and cultural memory. Timed to coincide with International Women’s Day, the event stands as both celebration and tribute, honoring women as creators, caretakers, and transmitters of tradition.

With the Royal Eagle Foundation as Exclusive Presenting Sponsor and Cultural Patron, Blooms of Tradition reflects what is possible when heritage, artistry, and philanthropic leadership unite in shared purpose.
