ORCHARD LAKE, MICHIGAN – Art on the Lake, one of metro Detroit’s premier fall  art shows, takes places October 7-8 on the campus of St. Mary’s Preparatory along the shores of Orchard Lake.  This year’s fine art show and sale features over 40 regional  artisans, the St. Mary’s Preparatory Art Department student poster contest winner, a  children’s tent featuring crafts, face painting, and activities galore, a variety of food,  music and Polish cultural attractions!  

 The Polish Institute of Culture & Research (PICR) at the Orchard Lake Schools sponsors  this fall favorite. “There’s something here for everyone throughout this two-day event!” adds Ania Bieciuk, Associate Director of Polonia Affairs and event chairperson. “We’re  so excited to host Art on the Lake during October’s Polish Heritage Month.  Our  St. Mary’s Preparatory student volunteers will be assisting with many of the children’s  events, welcoming attendees, and performing with the Prep band for all to enjoy.”
