Polish immigrants and their descendants have worn American military uniforms with pride\, standing alongside their brothers and sisters in service to safeguard the freedoms they so deeply cherished. \nToday\, we honor both those who fought for a free Poland and those who fought—and continue to fight—for freedom here in the United States. We recognize the unique position we hold as Polish Americans\, blessed with the heritage of two great nations.
